New Year – new impetus – that was the theme of the Business Refresh Event from Colmena last week. Held at Warwick Mill near Carlisle, lively debate followed each of the presentations on strategy, marketing, pension provision and people management.
David Tierney of Positive Solutions was able to answer in detail queries employers had about future provision for staff and Sue Kaveney of Kaveney HR talked about employment law and how to avoid pitfalls when engaging and managing staff.
Many of the delegates felt they were at a crossroads in their working or personal lifes and were seeking inspiration and motivation for 2011. The feedback from the event was extremely positive with delegates stating they had “thoroughly enjoyed” themselves, “felt re-energised” and “informed”.
After the session delegates and presenters enjoyed a light buffet provided by Colmena’s in house caterer and had the opportunity to look at the facilities provided by Warwick Mill Business Centre.
